Manufacturing is the major employer of our experienced work force; more than 15 per cent of the total. While small manufacturers often set up in scattered rural areas, the business parks near towns are well serviced and have the greatest concentrations: south and west of Orangeville, and south and west of Shelburne.

The Dufferin Eco-Energy Park (DEEP) is a 200-acre site in East Luther Grand Valley is transforming into a hub of carbon-free energy production, beginning with an energy-from-waste composting facility. There’s a greenhouse and research farm, a research facility, and a hydrogen energy pilot project… it’s a place that is prepared for the synergy of more forward-thinking entrepreneurs.
